Religion
Human beings are inherently chaotic, making large-scale unity difficult to achieve. The advent of religion provided believers with moral standards and codes of conduct. Most religions are aimed at promoting goodness, doing good deeds, reducing harm, respecting life, and upholding righteousness.
However, the recent conflict in Palestine, rooted in religious differences, has deeply troubled people around the world. We mourn for the victims in Palestine and remain deeply concerned about the rising tensions in the international community. Yet, I firmly believe that the solution cannot come at the cost of the eradication of an entire people. Such an approach would be an affront to human civilization and a disgrace to the history of humanity.
History
Let us look back at history! When I mention history, my intention is not to reopen the wounds of other nations or expose their shame. The ancestors of the Israeli people suffered immensely during the madness of the Nazis, with countless lives lost in concentration camps across Europe.
Every act of genocide throughout history stands as a stain on human civilization. We must learn from history and strive to avoid repeating its darkest chapters.
However, it is profoundly wrong for a people who were once victims of one of the most infamous genocides to now inflict similar suffering on another group. Can we ignore the pain of history simply because the current generation of Jews, compensated for the crimes of the past, are not the direct victims of those atrocities? Should we not remember and learn from history to prevent such tragedies from happening again?
The Nazi massacre
"We don’t want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way."
- Charlie Chaplin
The NanJing(China) massacre
"Silence! Silence! Either one breaks out in revolt, or one perishes in silence!"
- Lu Xun
I Appeal
It is not too late; I firmly believe that there are still people of conscience among the Israeli population. I call upon the Israeli people to stand against the actions of their government! Speak out for justice and peace, rather than remaining silent while your fellow citizens continue to commit atrocities.
The House of JusticeTitle inspired by 'Eichmann in Jerusalem' by Hannah Arendt.
The Temple of Justice should reside in the heart of every individual, where the judgment of good and evil transcends borders, races, and religions.
